IMPORTANT RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE SCHOOL

The school year begins in February and ends in December. Every academic year is divided into two terms- Summative Assessment- I ( and Summative Asessment – II Major holidays and school events are indicated in the school calendar.

  • ENGLISH should be spoken AT ALL TIMES in the school premises.
  • All should be punctual to assembly and classes. No one who has been absent or late may be admitted to class without the signature of the Principal/class-Teacher on the Regularity Record.
  • Day scholars should not leave the school premises during the break time without the permission from the principal.
  • Use of cellular phone by the students is strictly prohibited in the school campus and confiscated sets will not be returned.
  • If the set is brought to school for certain reason the set must be handed over to the Principal before the assembly is conducted.
  • Wearing of School Uniform from Monday till Friday, for classes, House Uniform on Saturday for P.T, games and other house activity is compulsory for all the classes.
  • Wearing of colourful jackets, sweaters and fancy accessories, finger rings is prohibited.
  • Goods confiscated by the school authorities will not be returned.
  • A decent short hair for boys is a must. Boys’ hair styles like, long hair in the front, and spiky hair using jell are not allowed.
  • Bleaching hair, making fashionable hair style, keeping long nails, using nail polish by girls are also strictly prohibited.
  • Parents/Guardians are not allowed to see their child or interview teachers during school hours. However, they may meet them with the permission of the Principal in case of emergency.
  • Absentees for any test/exam must give prior information to the Principal in writing. Otherwise, the students will not be awarded any mark.
  • Any damage done to the school property should be made good by the student concerned.
  • Generally private tuitions are not encouraged inside or outside the school. If parents feel the urgency of tuitions for their wards they should come to school and consult with the principal for approval.
  • Parents are requested to check School Diary, books and copies and visit the school from time to time to enquire about their ward’s progress.
  • Minimum attendance of a student should be 75% failing which he/she will not be promoted.
  • School Diary and ID card must be brought to the class everyday.
  • Parents/Guardians are advised not to send their ward to school if they are unwell. After an illness of a child for a long time, parents must submit a doctor’s certificate stating that he/she is fit to join the school.
  • Day scholars/boarders who cannot return promptly after the holidays should inform the principal in writing before the classes resume; else they will have their names struck off the rolls or a heavy fine will be imposed.
  • Students involved in fights, who has done something harmful to others or habitually irregular in class will be asked to leave the school.
  • Parents and guardians may visit their wards in the hostel on SUNDAYS and NOT on any other days.
  • Students are expected to be polite and well-mannered. This may include greeting and addressing the teachers and superiors with due respect.

TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

  • Parents/ guardians are requested to send their wards to school on time.
  • They are requested to send their wards neatly dressed in school uniform.
  • They are requested to spend sometime time everyday to see that the children do their homework.
  • They are expected to check frequently on their children’s attendance and behavior.
  • They are requested to check the school diary everyday and sign on it.
  • They are requested not to allow their children to carry money with them.
  • They are requested to send good homemade lunch for their children instead of packaged food from shop.

EXAMINATION AND PROMOTION

The School follows the CBSE pattern of Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) where there will be Four Formative Assessment & 2 Summative Assessment in an Academic year. A child starts collecting his/her marks for promotion right from FA I. Hence promotion depends on the students performance throughout the year and not merely on marks scored in any particular term.

BOOKS & STATIONERY

SCHOOL TEXT BOOKS, EXERCISE COPIES AND OTHER STATIONERY are supplied by the school on payment for all classes a few days before the commencement of the new academic session.

PAYMENT OF FEES

All payments must be made in the school account section (office). Monthly School fees should be paid before the 10th of every month after which a fine of Rs. 10 per day will be imposed.

ADMISSION

Admission forms are given out from the month of November every year. Admission is granted on the basis of submission of all necessary documents of the child. Admission Test for Classes I to VIII is conducted in the first week of February every new year. Successful candidates will be granted admission on merit basis if vacancy permits in that particular class.

RULES FOR WITHDRAWLS

Parents who wish to withdraw their child must submit an applications to the Principal before the end of every Academic Year. The application submitted thereafter will not be applicable. No TC will be issued until all dues to the School have been paid in full.
